Rollin out of bed on week 4

At the ungodly hour of 3:30 this afternoon, I woke up. Last night's salsa excursion paired with coconut rum screwdrivers was an excellent way to cap off an awesome weekend. However, as always, it's Sunday, and it's time to focus on the upcoming week.

Game plan: Friday night at some crazy hour in the AM I cooked up a pretty awesome scheduel that I think might just up my sucess factor. I consider it a way to anticipate Charlie (Charlie being those little confrontations with temptation). I implemented some elements from the game plan I had the Fall before last. I'll be up at 8 am, to the gym, home for shower, homework, lunch, and FINALLY: I'm putting aside an hour of time in the mornings to do the writing exercise regimen from the Southeast Review that my prof has signed us up for. Yay for addressing another goal!

Sucesses from the past week:
-continuing salsa
- completing a sched
- downloading some kick ass dance music
- getting back my first 100% quiz grade
- riding my bike to class one day (bonus points for the greeness and the cheapness)
- doing the majority of my homework

failures :(
- skipping three classes
- eating fast food
- spending too much money
- not having hw done before class on a couple occasions
- not curing cancer.

goals for the upcoming week:
- Stick to the new sched
- start a work out regimen
- start a writing regimen

Week Three Update

I've only skipped one class so far! Yay! For me, that is pretty awesome. We're reading Kant in Critical issues. It's cryptic stuff, but once you get it you know. I had that moment this weekend on Andrew's balcony in Gainesville. I commented to Patch that the light playing off the trees was "beautiful." That made me stop and realize I was making an aesthetic judgement. Cool! So #1 is still on track.

I made a step towards #2 by going to Gville this weekend. It wasn't major traveling, but it was a baby step.

I need to get on #3 soon.

I have been doing surprisingly well on #4. Yay! I went salsa dancing this weekend, so another yay for fun exercise.

I'm not quite so diligent at #5 as I aim to be, but I have been in the habit of writing quite a bit. Not every day, but every couple of days.

#6 I have been shamefully neglecting because of all the other goals I'm working on, but I'll get better.

#7 is just going to have to wait.

#8 is the best this week by far! I cleaned about 2/3 of my room. I finally put my bed up on blocks and got an awesome comforter set. I've still got to clean out my craft closet and sewing desk.

#9 will come when I get the rest of my room done.

#10 I have been pretty good about, the other goals kinda took care of this. I've been so busy doing all the things I've been wanting to do that I stopped doing what I usually do just to fill my free time.

Harder Better Faster Stronger: Surprising developments!

Today, I really went for the gold. I got up on time and actually ate breakfast! I bought a new comforter set and did some more reorganizing and cleaning. It's progressing in baby steps but I'm on my way to striking a couple things off my list.

In regards to #4, I decided to kick off that goal this week. I loaded up on healty food and so far, I've been good for three days. Yay!

A couple people mentioned #5. I want to thank them for bossing me, and then clarify what I meant when I said, "write every day." I've actually been pretty faithful to this. I didn't mean just write on this blog. I also have a journal and  a writing notebook that I have written in when i'm not on this. I do mean to post more on this blog though...

I have a chance to work at #2, I'm going to Gainesville this weekend to visit Andrew. Although that isn't REALLY traveling,

I can't think of a random word or fact right now, so here's a look at a couple paintings I finished. One is a copy of a Frida Kahlo painting. It was the last one she painted called Viva La Vie.

First Week Updates

This week, I have been focusing on my numero uno priority: straight A's. It's something I haven't done since freshman year of high school, but I think I have a really good shot at it this semester. So far I have done all that was assigned and gone to every class. What a goody two shoes!

I have been pretty good about #10. I think our TV is broken, so that makes it even easier!

#4 has been kinda iffy. I'm at the mercy of whatever is in my cabinets (which is all starchy stuff that my grandmother sent up with me) but, Wednesday I get monies!

Awesome phrase:
nimbly bimbly

Random fact: Dolly Parton is '4"11!
